He probably read you as being easier then you are based on the online flirting and agreeing to a movie at his house on a first date (Lady I learned what that means at 16 and your 42????)

He was looking for sex and that was it. If he wanted more he would have made contact and gone out again and hoped the making out momentum would carry over but he didn’t feel like another night out faking it was worth it.

Had you had sex sure he might have stretched it out to one or two more sex dates but the odds of him suddenly seeing you as something more is slim. Like the other commenter said how much time did you have to get to know each other if the date was just a movie and then making out. He was hot and probably hotter then what you usually date and you were smitten. Girls can be blinded just by looks as much as men can. Write it off as just a first date that didn’t get to a second and don’t second guess what you did wrong. This guy wasn’t it for you.
