I think your points regarding personality are well-made and useful additions, but, still, what you are saying is not fundamentally at odds with the AF/BB dichotomy. Consider the case of these women, who “prioritized” certain arousing attributes when they were younger, then “prioritized” certain provider attributes beyond a certain age, then again changed “priorities” as their need for provisioning fell.

There’s no substantive difference between what you described and the AF/BB dichotomy.

Facebook is pretty much a blight. I encourage my wife not to use it. She did not for a while: She re-engaged because she felt stupid at parties and out of the loop. But it’s an addictive app for young women, and despite still feeling stupid at parties she has a hard time going cold turkey again.
