Example: no mainstream publisher today would publish the Flashman books, by George
MacDonald Fraser, because they would be seen as too politically incorrect. Fraser said this himself in his last interview before he died.
Other readers of this blog, if you haven’t read these books already, get hold of them, you will love them, Flashman is a creature of genius & 100% spot on on his analysis of women (I think he may actually comment on this blog occasionally).
The books also got watered down with time, although it’s hard to say whether or not this was because of pressure on Fraser from his publishers, or whether he just mellowed himself with age.

They’d publish Tucker Max though, even though he is politically incorrect, because being illiterate, stupid and politically incorrect is fine, it’s when someone is politically incorrect in a literate perceptive and intelligent way that people start to get worried.
