I think she’s blowing him off. If Thursday wasn’t a good day and it was too last minute, they could have rescheduled. Also, being that we are on the verge of a long holiday weekend, it probably would have been best for him to suggest a time next week.

She could have perfectly legitimate reasons for her behavior, so I’d adopt a wait and see approach. Hang out on Thursday, don’t spend a lot of money, see what happens.
